A friend and I tried one time, but it wouldn't ignite. Would have been cool to get that process figured out

Gotta get it reeeeeally hot to ignite, a bic usually won't do it alone. A little magnesium up top helps.

I seem to recall an oxy-acetylene torch and an afternoon of disappointment. They should have gotten me a chemistry set as a kid.
