Democrats don't have to block it if they know Republicans will. The votes are for show and they're all in on it. Or at least a significant number of them are, either by direct involvement or complicity.
But Republicans DID block it, right? That's the only part I heard.
yes, those are the fall guys. that's in the interests of the capitalists, that you only hear that part, friend. the red vs blue culture war is theater.
don't get me wrong: if you or me wanted to run for house of reps and change things, we'd probably be signing up as blue. there's probably some good-hearted farmers doing the same, signing up for red because those are their cultural "good guys".
we'd all be naive and we'd all be drowned in the corruption, most likely.
yes, those are the fall guys. that's in the interests of the capitalists, that you only hear that part, friend. the red vs blue culture war is theater.
Yes and no. There are legitimate, progressive leftists that don't suckle on the billionaire teat and don't serve capitalist interests on the blue team.
Also, not relevant. If you care about justice for those on Epstein's client list then those who were willing to hide it need to be named and suffer consequences. Then you make it come up again and do the same thing regardless of whoever obstructs it again, red or blue. Do it until justice is served. Name and shame them afterwards, don't let the world forget.
Let's hope there are consequences. I can get behind that. I dunno what will sway the power anymore. I don't actually care about what happens with this in congress right now, I'm just trying to end the war between my neighbors and me, and survive. This seems like a golden opportunity to unite with the people swindled by Fox.
Okay, but the red guys did it, right? They could a made the blue guys do it, which would've pushed the feudalistic billionaire breakdown of America easier for them, but... They didn't? Why not?
Probably would have been team blue if Biden was in office, but it doesn’t make sense for the republicans to defy their president
Why doesn't it make sense? All I see is Republicans blocked it, and Democrats didn't. Why wouldn't they make the Democrats look bad?
Seriously. If the Rs played chicken and voted yes (at least most of em), the dems would be forced to blink and that would be a slam dunk and the republican party wouldn't have to 180 so hard on epstein right now.
You’re assuming corporate dem leadership is different than corporate republican leadership. More than anything, they care about power and money….
Okay, I still don't understand anything other than the Republicans voted to protect child sex predators, and the Democrats didn't.
Good for you I guess?
You said they were working together, but the Republicans voted to block it. Why didn't they make the Democrats vote to block it, it would make them look better?
we know. you've made that clear. you're on team blue. you bought into the theater.
im not denying that there's genuine good guys on the blue team, i'm just saying that there's also going to be a significant number on team blue who are super fucking relieved that republicans shut it down. that's pretty dangerous, dont ya think?
being aware of when we're being pitted against one another is NEVER a fruitless endeavor. you may not like that we're not playing the red vs blue game and that's fine. but you're going to keep getting screwed if you only get mad at half of congress for failing to protect its people.
I agree. Right now I am mad at the people who voted to block the list. I just don't understand why people are saying the Democrats did that. I am trying to understand, especially if that guy thinks they are working together on this. It would make the president look better if the Republicans didn't vote to block this, but the Republicans did that. It is a weird and divisive thing to say otherwise, right?
As far as I could tell only 12 people could vote on whatever this was, and 8 of them are republicans.
Hell, one of them even voted for it. I assume the one in the shakiest seat.
