The entire extent of the planning is "Troops go in. Troops shoot protesters."

This is not only incorrect, it is just plain unfair...
They are supposed to shoot TV reporters too. And, well, anybody really. Not just protesters.-
I think the ones doing that were LAPD.

The army tends to have much better discipline.
Not always, but certainly compared to American police, who don't seem to have any.

It's very easy to just tell them to get a hotel and they'll be reimbursed or just bulk order all the rooms in a couple hotels. The national guard troops along the border in their pretend mission do that, they all just stay at a hotel.

Multiple hotels have yold them to go fuck themselves.
I imagine they all have some idea what the people of the city will do to them if they quarter the enemy.
Edit: though i just heard, on the morning of june 11th, that a 'best western' let some of the invaders sleep there. So if anyone has any reservations with that chain, they should be cancelled.
