President Donald Trump threatened to cut Elon Musk’s government contracts as their fractured alliance escalated into a public feud Thursday. The world’s richest man responded in kind, saying he’d decommission a space capsule used to take astronauts and supplies to the International Space Station.

Shares of Musk’s electric vehicle maker Tesla fell 14%, knocking about $150 billion off the company’s market valuation.

Dooo it. Musk must not be too savvy if he didn't think trump would turn on him.
- I'm guessing that Musk is now finding out that Trump doesn't actually pay his debts.
  
  Trump got paid up front with a guaranteed annuity and Elon got completely vulnerable popularity and volatile old-money. While Trump piggybacks on the bro marketing to do crypto for the fam.

  Does that matter to Elon? He got what he wanted. He crippled or destroyed every government entity that was investigating his companies. He would do that for free.

  Coin flip between it just being yet another case of musk lashing out because his ego hurts and him trying to distance himself from the trump admin when the closeness has caused catastrophic damage to his companies brands (too little too late, but still)
