doctors' always measure my weight, but just take my word for height
Same. I can't recall any of my doctors ever measuring my height. The police and RCMP however.. both kept pretty good records of my teenage growth years.
My doctor's office measured my height along with my weight last year. First time I remember since I've been an adult. I'm an old white woman and apparently I've lost an inch.
Maybe it was just cold in the office. Happens to the best of us.
Cute joke, but more likely osteoporosis, preceded by childbearing. Pregnancy hormones make tendons in general soften/stretch, in order for the pelvis to let the head through. I had C-sections, but my feet spread out and apparently the rest of my bones sagged a bit too. And now I'm getting thinner vertebrae.
My wife lost an inch, then had to have a vertebrae fused in her neck and she got the inch back.
Pissed off my daughter as she had just outgrown my wife, only for my wife to pass her and force her to do it again.
They measured my height the last few times I was in for a physical.
I think it's because I've reached the age where they want to see if I've started to shrink.
My primary care takes my height and weight every time I go in and I'm well below the age where people start to shrink.
Mine uses the most recent height measurement that they took and check every few years. They check weight regularly though.
Driver's licence office takes whatever I tell them. Last tien I told them I was losing weight and they used my target weight. Might be accurate at some point before it expires in a few years!
