that's part of whhat I mean. ofc us shitting ourselves doesn't look great, but then also bringing the detachhed 'fuck you, lol, you think I care?' posting into their space is just embarassing. they have their own thing going on, and some of us did not respect the vibes while well meaning federated comrades who hang out ere were trying to work out what the fuck was going on and any potential fallout to their community

I honestly hhope our admin team (whatever's left of it) appolagises to them for it. even if it 'doesn't matter', we were rude in a way that would piss me off if another instance dragged that kind of shit over here. we're not the cool kids who own lemmy, we supposedly voted to be part of a wider community
