Why are Christian nerds considered the epitome of tough and cool manhood in the USA?

I don't understand how this happened. How is the kid growing up who wasn't allowed to watch The Simpsons or Seinfeld now considered manly? Look at dweebs like Mike Johnson and Elon Musk. How the hell is conservatism considered masculine? Conservatives seem like the biggest bunch of whiny dorks on the planet.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
